Macc 5k and half marathon - call for volunteers
Posted: Mon Aug 04, 2014 6:51 pmThe planning for the 2014 Macclesfield Half Marathon (and 5k) on Sunday 28th September is well underway.
As usual the organising team will be hoping that as many club members as possible will volunteer their time to help with the various jobs that need doing as this is our big road race of the year and we raise a lot of money for local charity - this is your chance to put something back into the club.
We will need people to manage all the 130 jobs needed (parking, entries, catering, course marshals, lead and sweep cars, rubbish collection, start, finish, goody bags etc etc).
I already have a number of names on my list of people willing to help but I still need a lot more ... please help if you can!
So - if you or any friends/family can help out on Sunday 28th September then please contact me at neil.gunn@gmaIl.com or 07786 855027 - you get to wear a hi-viz vest and there is a free buffet afterwards with a chance to socialise with fellow club members.
