Ron Hird (ex Macc Harrier) sends his regards to those who used to run with him. He's now running for Eryri Harriers and was 3rd overall in the V70 category following the last fixture on Saturday where your correspondent (another ex-Macc Harrier and 2nd V55!) had the pleasure of talking with him. Ron is also not averse to doing fell races on a regular basis in the Snowdonia area.

Good to hear Martin and well done to both. I turn 65 end of this year so hope to be more competitive then.

I remember seeing a "Ron Hird" in some fell race results last year. Great to hear it was the actual Ron and that he is still running strong. Next time you see him Martin, could you pass on my regards.

Will pass on your best wishes next time I see him. Ron beat me at the Y Garn race last August - I missed a checkpoint and went back for it - at least that was my excuse!
